Program Philosophy - For any program you choose, we believe in a philosophy called “Challenge by Choice.” Our staff will never force a participant to do anything they are uncomfortable doing, both physically and emotionally. 

 

Knowing that some people are uncomfortable with things such as heights, others are uncomfortable with sharing personal feelings, and everything in between, we make it clear to all participants that individual participation is up to them. Our staff will encourage everyone to step outside of their comfort zone by creating an environment that is safe for risk-taking and by offering helpful and encouraging words throughout the program.

 

If someone decides to step back, they are still included in each activity in some way that is within their comfort zone. No door is ever closed, as participants will have an opportunity to step back in when they are ready.

 

Our Staff - Our facilitators bring with them a broad variety of education and experience. Each staff member receives extensive training in high and low element facilitation in keeping with the standards set by the Association for Challenge Course Technology and the American Camp Association.

 

Facilities - CSM offers modern and comfortable facilities for your use. Hold a large meeting or meal for up to 300 people in Peggy’s Café, house your staff for an overnight retreat (150+ beds with heated lodging) or enjoy the outdoors in our pavilion.
