Boards of Directors




Camp Stella Maris is guided by a dedicated group of volunteer members of the Board of Directors. Their commitment to quality, safety and youth development take the highest priority. With a strong focus on strategic planning, these volunteers are helping to shape the future of Camp Stella Maris.

Jay Travers,* President
Jay has served on the board for three terms. The parent of former campers and counselors and a former counselor and waterfront director himself, Jay is proud of his family's connection to the camp. Active in the community, he has served on the boards of NYS Council of Community Healthcare, Catholic Family Center, Greater Rochester Attention Deficit Disorder Association, and Vikings Vince Lombardi Football.

Scott Anthony
Co-Owner, Anthony Funeral Chapel
Scott's children attended camp for many years before he joined the board in 2005. Scott is active on the development committee and has actively participated in the camp's fundraising efforts. His daughter is a former counselor.

Pablo C. Biggs
Principle Consultant, Altreya Consulting
Pablo, whose boys have attended day camp, joined the board in 2006. With a background in strategic planning, Pablo will play a large role in helping Camp develop a strong plan for its future. He also serves on the Center Information Services Board for Al Sigl Center and the Puerto Rican Youth Development board.

John Caselli
President, MCE Solutions
John rejoined the board in 2005. He has been an excellent resource during many of the Camp's major construction initiatives, including the building of Peggy's Cafe, the renovation of Chanler House and the recent addition of The Wegman House to the CSM campus. John's love for the Camp and strong business experience make his contributions to the board invaluable.

Daniel Dey
Dan is CEO of Westside Health Services and a parishioner at Transfiguration. His two daughters are campers and Dan is excited to lend his expertise to the Camp. Dan is also the president of Rochester Rotary and has served on many other committees and boards.

Michael Donoghue*
President, Premium Mortgage
Mike, first a CSM camper at age 10, reconnected with the camp in recent years and has been a strong supporter. Mike's work on the board is focused on not only preserving his own childhood memories, but to pass those same experiences on to future generations of campers. Active in the community, Mike has also served on the Ten Ugly Men/Ugly Disco, IMF/RPAC and Greater Rochester Association of Realtors Boards.

Doug Emblidge
News Anchor, 13 WHAM-TV
Doug has just completed his first of two terms on the CSM Board. His children have enjoyed positive experiences at Camp and Doug hopes his service on the board will help to ensure that same experience for other children. Doug also serves on the boards of Daystar, ABVI Goodwill and Rochester Area Crimestoppers.

Paula L. Lunn

Academic Intervention Services Specialist, Rochester City School District

Paula's two children both attended Camp. In recent years, Paula has offered the StarPaks Camper Care Package program to current camp families, donating the proceeds to the Campership Fund. Her strong belief in the Camp's mission and positive outcomes of the camp experience fuel her enthusiasm for board service. Paula's expertise in the youth development arena will play a key role in future programming and experiences for our campers.


Courtney Marshall*
Courtney's connection to CSM began with her parents. Her father, a former camper, and mother both served on the Board. First a camper at age 6, Courtney now brings her children as the third generation of CSM campers. Her motivation to join the board stems from memories of her own camp experience and a desire to ensure today's kids have an opportunity for spiritual connections. Courtney currently also serves on the board of Holy Trinity.

Lee Marinelli
Vice President/Branch Manager, HSBC Bank
Lee returns to the CSM board in 2006 where she previously served two terms. Her daughter, a camper from 1995 through 2002, has developed lifelong friendships from her camp experience. Lee's passion is to ensure that same experience is available to all other children. Her strong financial background combined with her love of CSM makes her a welcome addition to the Board.

Christian N. Nadler
Attorney, Gates and Adams, P.C.
Chris represents the next generation from the Nadler family to serve on the Camp's board. Both his late father, Lou, and mother, Tracy, whose term recently ended, have dedicated years of service in this important volunteer role. Chris has been both a camper and off-season retreatant at CSM. He also serves on the Village of Fairport Planning Board and is a volunteer at his parish, Assumption of our Lady in Fairport.

Peggy Riley
Wegmans Food Markets
Peggy joined the board in 2004. Her expertise in human resources has been invaluable to the camp. Peggy's commitment to the camp is greatly appreciated by year-round and seasonal staff alike.

Alicia Smith*
Alicia, a parishioner at St. Rita's church in Webster, was a camper from 1977 through 1983 and completed the LIT program. She has vast experience in management and marketing and is now a stay-at-home mom. Alicia has a strong desire to give back to the Camp to ensure it's successful future for generations to come.

Fiona K. Willis*
Executive Producer, WXXI
Fiona has been a member of the CSM family since 1988. First a counselor, Fiona eventually filled the year-round role as Camp Director here from 1997-98. She credits CSM for helping to shape who she is today, and has been active in the recent formation of the Camp's Alumni Association. Fiona has also served on the board of Sunset House.
