Camper Code of Conduct

Camp Stella Maris is a safe place to learn and have fun. Each person is encouraged to make new friends and learn positive values and lessons. The staff of CSM lives by this credo "lessons and values for life." Counselors and staff work hard to foster the magic of positive memories. In order for a camper's time at CSM to be safe and enjoyable, we have set forth certain expectations. These expectations will be introduced and reviewed with each camper upon arrival and we require that each camper live by this Code of Conduct while attending Camp Stella Maris.

1. Along with your swimsuit and towel, pack an open mind and a good attitude.

2. Be prepared to experience new things, make lasting friendships and have the time of your life.

3. Be Christ-like and treat everyone around you and yourself with RESPECT-camp is no place for physical relationships, fighting or inappropriate physical contact.

4. Challenge yourself to try to at least one new thing each day while you're at camp; we'll be there to support you and cheer you on.

5. Camp is a place to enjoy God's gifts of the great outdoors and physical activity. The possession and/or use of alcohol, illegal substances, tobacco products and electronic devices is forbidden (hair dryer and fans excluded).

6. Listen to your counselors and your heart. If you have a problem, talk to your counselors. We'll hear you and help you find a solution.

7. If you don't say it or show it to your parents, then don't say it or show it at camp either. (This includes such things as inappropriate reading material, attitude and behavior.)

8. Since you should treat everyone around you the way you like to be treated, we expect nothing less than kind and encouraging words on campgrounds.

9. Want to stay healthy and happy all week long? Follow CSM's rules to do just that!

10. HAVE FUN!
