The Leader in Training (LIT) Program is designed to help young people in the growth of their 21st Century Skills, preparing them for life beyond high school. Camp Stella Maris believes that young people, given the right encouragement, tools, and opportunities, are a powerful resource for bringing innovation and positive influence to our communities and to the lives of others.

The LIT program aligns with the college and career readiness skills and focuses on communication, critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity. CSM is driven to support teens in their development of these much-needed skills through a fun, engaging, and inclusive experience at summer camp.
At the culmination of their session, LITs will have earned 30 volunteer hours.

TWO-WEEK SESSIONS   $1250

LIT 1 – June 30-July 6 & July 7- July 12 (B & C weeks)
LIT 2 – July 14 – July 20th & July 21- July 26 (D & E weeks)
LIT 3 – Jul 28-Aug 3 & Aug 4-Aug 9 (F & G weeks)
LIT 4 – Aug 11-Aug 17 & Aug 18-Aug 23 (H & I weeks)
*All campers will go home in between their 2-week session.

COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING (CIT)

The Counselor-in-Training program combines the fun of camp with leadership and on-the-job training. The CIT program is a unique opportunity for motivated young people to develop the necessary skills to be role models in our camp community. CIT campers stay for two weeks, learning the ropes of living and serving at CSM.
The first week is focused on creating successful peer relationships, developing skills that are needed to work in our camp environment, and discovering personal gifts and strengths.
During week two, CIT campers will have the opportunity to use their strengths in a cabin, at day camp, or in the kitchen, gaining hands-on experience and a glimpse into being a CSM staff member.

CIT 1 – Jun 30-Jul 6 & Jul 7-Jul 12 (B & C weeks)
CIT 2 – Jul 7-Jul 12 & Jul 14-Jul 20 (C & D weeks)
CIT 3 – Jul 14-Jul 20 & Jul 21-Jul 26 (D & E weeks)
CIT 4 – Jul 21-Jul 26 & Jul 28-Aug 3 (E & F weeks)
CIT 5 – Jul 28-Aug 3 & Aug 4- Aug 9 (F & G weeks)
